Hi everyone!
Welcome to 3rd Grade in Room 16! We are going to have so much fun learning this year. One of my favorite quotes is "be somebody who makes everybody feel like a somebody." I am excited for all of us to learn about one another. Below you will find some information about me!
Background
I grew up here in North Haven, CT. I spent almost every day of each summer going to Paradise Country Club in Hamden, CT where I also became a lifeguard and a swim instructor every summer throughout high school and college. I originally went to college to enter the business world and after about thirty minutes in my first class, I knew that was not for me! Teaching swim lessons every summer inspired me to change my major to Elementary Education, which I found to be my true passion. I love watching my students grow because of the lessons I've taught them.
Education
I graduated in May of 2022 from Western New England University with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Psychology. I am certified to teach grades 1-6 in both Connecticut and Massachusetts. I am also a graduate of the North Haven School System!
Favorites
I love to spend time with my family and friends. I enjoy listening to country music, baking (and eating) chocolate chip cookies, and travelling to my favorite places like Marco Island, Florida and Nashville, Tennessee! My favorite food/drinks include iced coffee, pizza, and tacos.
